Our Story

With a strong desire for the lake, fishing, hiking, breathtaking views, nature and enjoying delicious local cuisines, why would you not choose Te Anau as your holiday destination? With such a love for this beautiful Fiordland town, The Green Cottage was purchased in 2020, and two years later, after numerous ‘working’ holidays, The Guest House came to fruition in 2022. In 2025 along came Luxmore Lodge, a Kiwiana themed getaway. A lot of hours of hard work were put in to achieve our vision, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this beautiful home with you. We love the all year round, wholesome, relaxed vibe this lovely little lakeside town has to offer, and we know after one stay, you will too!

We love to enjoy time in Te Anau and relax with a cold beverage and a platter amongst friends during the summer months, or in the winter, snuggle up inside with a cuppa and a good movie. Whether enjoying the comfort of your home or out and about, Te Anau is the place to be!

There are endless to-do’s on your doorstep. Take a walk around the edge of the lake with a hot drink, sit on the jetty and take in the surreal nature, lace up and walk the rainforests or hike the tussock country, pack up the fam and spend a day on the lake, head into town for a delicious cocktail and a movie, try numerous delicious local cuisines and restaurants, enjoy the parks, the golf course or the local lakefront bar. Or better yet, take a day trip to some of the world’s best attractions, Milford Sound, or Doubtful Sound via Lake Manapouri.
